Women are becoming the most powerful force in America. Supermajority will build on that momentum by providing training, connection, and support to women — across race, age, ability, faith, sexual orientation, geography, income — no matter how politically engaged they’ve been in the past. We believe we can amplify the incredible, game-changing work women have been doing to change the direction of this country and achieve record participation as voters in the upcoming election. You can learn more about the team and what we’re planning at supermajority.com.
For many of us, we got our start in politics and the progressive ecosystem through campaigns and organizing. Maybe we don’t all have it in us to go back out and be field organizers full-time again, but we know organizing is critical to ensure we win back the White House (not to mention one of the coolest ways to enter politics).
That is why a group of Obama and Hillary Alumni, with the DNC, 270 Strategies, Collective PAC, 7 Democratic State Parties, and other partners, started Organizing Corps 2020 -- a new program to recruit and train the next generation of organizers. They are recruiting juniors and paying them ($4,000) this summer to gain in-the-field community organizing experience. In 2020, we they will work with the new graduates and career changers to make sure their talent makes impact in the field during the general election. Not only does this help us win in 2020, this also helps us build the next generation of leaders for these cities.
